Wisconsin Preview and Predictions

After posting a 4-0 record and outscoring their opponents 208-55 in September, Michigan is moving on to October as a top five ranked team and the opportunity for a huge win on Saturday.

Wisconsin is coming to Ann Arbor after a dominating 30-6 win over Michigan State, giving them a second top ten win in the first four games. Their defense suffocated the Spartans offensive line and got to their quarterback, Tyler O’Connor, four times.

Coach Harbaugh mentioned the toughness and physicality of this Wisconsin team in his press conference on Monday and expects a very good battle. As fans, with all other tough opponents on the road, we are in for a great game.

Michigan fans are very weary of games like this, until we know for sure what kind of team we have. This will be a test of their physical toughness and stamina, which could end with Speight having his best game of his career so far. The win against Penn State included 327 yards on the ground with six of seven touchdowns running. If they continue that game plan and slow down the defense, we may see more passing plays to find the end zone by several different players. The combination of rushing and passing, with a solid defense and special teams, it could be a double digit win for Michigan as the spread is indicating.

The list of recruits in town this weekend gets longer by the day, so this weekend could be a huge momentum shift for the year and incoming class.

This game will be close. I see this to be a first half battle with a possible moment swing carried on into the second half. However, I feel that Michigan is a better team and will come out on top with late scoring to win comfortably, 31-17.

This will be a true test for both teams who are very evenly matched on both sides of the ball and will find out which team is a true top five team going into October.
