Michigan’s late push for 4-star Iowa City (West) IA wideout Oliver Martin seems to be working.
Just a month ago, the Wolverines seemed to be all but out of it with Martin. Notre Dame was trending, while Michigan State was reportedly making a strong push as well. Throughout the summer and fall of 2016, Martin was a top target for the staff. Michigan pushed and pushed for the talented receiver to make a decision, but the reality was that no school was going to rush Martin into a decision, causing Martin to essentially wait out his spot in Michigan’s 2017 class.
Then came reports that Georgia was making it a dogfight for fellow 4-star receiver Nico Collins. Michigan saw the need to go back after Martin, hard.
Now it appears that Michigan is back in the driver seat as Oliver Martin will indeed take an official visit to Michigan with less than a week until National Signing Day. Our prediction is Michigan and baring any surprise updates before NSD, we expect Martin to sign with the Wolverines.
