Michigan’s Recruiting Weekend

With the Wolverines coming off a win against Michigan State, they move to No. 3 in the College Football Playoff Rankings to take on former defesive coordinator DJ Durkin and the Maryland Terapins. The Michigan staff is looking to score big in the recruiting game this weekend by hosting  numerous top players from all over the country.

Aubrey Solomon-  The former Michigan pledge will be back in A2 this weekend. Aubrey Solomon de-comitted from Michigan on August 22nd after he received a thank you letter thanking him for attending a barbecue in Ann Arbor. But Aubrey never attended the event.  That left a sour taste in his mouth towards Michigan but is attending this weekend. Michigan is pushing hard to get his pledge back to Michigan, the 4*/5* DT is one of the best in the country.

and has been to A2 many times. Michigan has been the leader in his recruitment for a long time, but Alabama and Georgia are pushing hard for his services.

Aaron Banks – Aaron will be making his second visit in A2 this weekend. Aaron Banks attended the #A2BBQ in the summer which many top recruits were in attendance. Coach Jim Harbaugh was out to visit the El Ceritto native during Michigans bye week. Michigan looks to be right in the middle of things for the 163 ranked player and number 19 ranked OT in the nation.

Mekhi Becton –  This will be the first visit in A2 for the OT from Virginia. Back in May coach Tim Drevno visited Mekhi and offered him a scholarship that same day. Virginia looks to be the favourite for the 3 star OT, but one visit to A2 may change everything. jmarick

J’Marick Woods- The long time Michigan commit recently visited Arkansas and spoke very highly of their program. A strong visit with Michigan this weekend can seal the deal for the 3 star safety from Alabama.

Stanford Samuels – There has been spectualtion Stanford Samuels visiting Michigan this weekend.  Tom VanHaaren from ESPN says this on twitter.screen-shot-2016-11-03-at-2-09-24-pmStanford is a 5 Star corner back comitted to Florida State but has major ties with Michigan. Three current Michigan freshmen were teammates with Samuels in high school Devin Bush, Jr, Devin Gil and Josh Metellus. Also their high school head coach, Devin Bush Sr, is now a defensive analyst at Michigan.
