Ann Arbor, Mi. Under Head Coach Jim Harbaugh Michigan has been no stranger to innovative ideas, and that trend will continue on Saturday when Michigan’s Football Team will hold practice at Ford Field, the home of the NFL’s Detroit Lions.
The practice will be open to the first 10,000 fans that register for a free ticket via Mgoblue.com. The practice will run from 12-4, and gates will open at 11:30 for fans with printed tickets.
Michigan’s practice at Ford Field is yet another example of how the program is doing new and different things. Earlier this month Michigan held a week of spring practice at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, which proved to be controversial in the College Football community. Holding practice at Ford Field will give Michigan’s players the opportunity to experience playing in an NFL stadium and will allow local fans to observe practice.
