Michigan Is Making 2018 OLB Justin Ademilola A “Major Priority”

The Michigan coaching staff has shown a lot of early interest in 2018 Jersey City, NJ (St. Peters Prep) four-star OLB Justin Ademilola. Both Justin and his brother, Jayson Ademilola, made the trip down to Michigan for the spring game a few weeks ago.

During his visit to Michigan, Justin had a chance to meet the coaching staff and build a better relationship with the coaching staff after Justin’s second visit to Ann Arbor. He came to the conclusion following his visit that Michigan will be a major contender going forward.

“I think very highly of Michigan and all they have to offer,” Ademilola said about Michigan. “They are a very good program and a rising program. They also have the stellar education and all the factors that are needed for me to succeed at the next level.”

For the spring game several weeks ago, Michigan played host to Ademilola and his brother Jayson. During his time in Ann Arbor, he had a chance to catch up and talk with Michigan linebackers coach Chris Partridge and Michigan defensive line coach Greg Mattison.

“The visit was great,” Ademilola said about his visit. “I sat down with Coach Partridge and Coach Mattison and broke down film and then they took me on a tour. They are both great down to earth guys. I knew Coach Partridge for a little while now and every time we get together it’s great and we always have great conversation. Coach Mattison is also a great guy and he knows a lot about the game. They are both very good teachers of the game.”

Ademilola is a very talented and unique player. At 6-foot-3, 235-pounds, he has the ability to play both the outside linebacker and defensive end position at the next level. Well, one of the major factors that will play into his recruitment is how the coaches plan to use him.

“I had a chance to watch their practice film. I talked to Coach Partridge and Coach Mattison and they are planning to use me as a defensive end and a buck linebacker. So, basically a defensive end, but I can also drop back in coverage, rush the passer, and make some plays.”

After his visit, Ademilola informed me that Michigan is “definitely” near the top of his list of schools. Michigan has the chance to gain even more ground on Ademilola because Chris Partridge plans to visit Ademilola later this month at his high school.

“Michigan is definitely up there on the list of my top schools. The Wolverines are very high on my list for many reasons. They have a very homelike environment, the football as you know is great there, and the coaches are top of the line coaches. Also, they keep on telling me and my brother that we are a major priority for the 2018 class.”

Ademilola and his brother Jayson are very close and have been since a young age. However, as for their recruitment, Justin says the decision is for each of them to make on their own.

“Right now Jayson and I want to play together, but it’s not that big of a deal. At the end of the day, what’s best for me might not be what’s best for him and what not.”

It’s still early for Ademilola and he is in no rush to make a decision. The plan as of right now for him is to make his commitment sometime after his junior season. By the time he is ready to make his commitment, it appears that The Wolverines will be in good position.
