Kwity Paye Talks Commitment to Michigan

Kwity Paye is a 3-4* Weak Side Defensive End/ Linebacker from Warwick, Rhode Island. Kwity was originally committed to Boston College, but after seeing strong interest from Michigan and coach Don Brown, he recently flipped his commitment over to Michigan.

The 6’4, 226 pound defensive standout is ranked 949 in the nation and ranked as the 45 the WDE in the country per the 247Sports Composite rankings and is also the 18th commitment for the Wolverines in the 2017 class.


I spoke to the new Michigan pledge today about his commitment.

Q. When did your offer come from Michigan?

“I believe they offered like last month officially.”

Q. What impressed you the most about Ann Arbor and the campus?

“Just the level of play that they are at right now. And the town is a great town. I had a good feel about it.”

Q. How would you describe Coach Harbaugh?

“Coach Harbaugh is a very great man. He seems intense on the field but in person he is actually pretty chill.”

Q.Which coach or coaches helped the most in getting a feel for the program and school?

“Coach Brown helped the most with everything.”

Q. Was there any other schools that were being heavily considered before picking Michigan?

“BC you know. I was committed to BC but made the choice to go to Michigan.”

Q.How would you describe your first time in The Big House?

“It was an experience to remember. Absolutely crazy.”

Q.What are you most excited about when it comes to attending school at Michigan?

 “Just getting down to business with football and school. And meeting new people”
