With his status with the Michigan football program up in the air, former Wolverine receiver Freddy Canteen announced that he would seek a graduate transfer away from the program back in January.
Fast forward to February and Canteen has found his new home in South Bend, electing to transfer to Notre Dame and use his final two years of illegibility playing for the Fighting Irish. Canteen’s commitment to Brian Kelly comes after what obviously was a strong weekend visit.
Canteen announced the news via his multiple social media accounts.

As previously mentioned, Canteen was an early enrollee at Michigan and will therefore have two years left of eligibility at Notre Dame when he graduates from the University of Michigan in May.
