Composite Top 150 overall guard David DeJulius committed to the University of Michigan on Thursday, just days after being bestowed with a Wolverine offer.
DeJulius is actually a very significant get for Michigan. For one, he is an in-state, Detroit area talent. With more and more top end recruits coming out of the state of Michigan, locking down some of the state’s best prospects is huge. DeJulius is also the first commitment for the Wolverines in the 2018 recruiting cycle, meaning this pledge will set the tone for a very crucial class for John Beilein.
Another very positive note for Michigan fans is that DeJulius is going to continue getting better and growing as a player. DeJulius’ offer and commitment came after a string of impressive performances. To put it simply, the kid is a baller. Tough, hard nosed, and agile.
Rumor is that Kentucky has been showing an increasing amount of interest, but the good news for the Wolverines is that DeJulius does not seem to be a prospect that the Wildcats would go to the ends of the earth to get.
Michigan may have just gotten a huge steal in the form of David DeJulius.
