Donovan Peoples-Jones is officially committed to the University of Michigan. After a long and hard recruiting cycle, one of the top targets for this class is now a Wolverine. He made the announcement tonight live on ESPN2 Recruiting Nation. The Detroit native is currently attending Cass Tech High School, with another member of the 2017 recruiting class, Jaylen Kelly-Powell.
Donovan Peoples-Jones is a 5-star and the top rated WR in the class, along with the 11th overall player by the 24/7 Sports Composite. This recruiting battle really came down to the wire, although Michigan held the huge crystal ball prediction for a majority of his recruiting process. Urban Meyer and members of the Ohio State coaching staff made a last minute visit to his home in Detroit last Sunday. In the end, he is staying home and attending the University of Michigan.
His top five consisted of Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Florida and Florida State.
He will be an early enrollee along with the most recent new member of the class, Tarik Black, who made his announcement yesterday afternoon.
