Ann Arbor, MI—Michigan Football and head Coach Jim Harbaugh received a commitment Saturday afternoon when 3-star in-state defensive tackle Phillip Paea committed to the Wolverines. It is Michigan’s second commitment of Spring Game weekend, following last night’s commitment of 2018 DE/TE Leonard Taylor.
Paea, the cousin of Junior DT Bryan Mone, is rated as the number 33 overall defensive tackle and 13th best player in the state of Michigan in the 2017 class per 247 Sports.
At 6-4, 285 pounds he will add tremendous size to the interior of the defensive line that will be losing a two key players in Mo Hurst and Graham Glasgow at the end of this season.
Paea chose the Wolverines over an impressive offer list that included Oregon, Notre Dame, USC, Michigan State, and Miami.
